We shall collect, use and store your personal data, as described in this Data Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to amend this Data Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice.  You are advised to check our website www.followrangers.com regularly for any amendments.

What information we collect and why.

We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with on-going organisational updates and funding information in line with your membership of the group.  We also wish to collect additional information to assist with analysing the demographics of members.  We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.

For the purposes of our legitimate interests in operating the Group we shall require the following information from individuals signing up as members of the group:

• Name
• Address
• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Telephone number (landline and/or mobile)
• Rangers Number (if applicable)
• How many shares currently held in Rangers (if applicable)
• Rangers Supporters Club you are a member of (if applicable)
• Online fans forum you are a member of (if applicable)
• Twitter account username for social media updates (if applicable)

How we protect your personal data

We will not transfer your personal data outside the EU without your consent.

We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personal data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised alteration or destruction.

Please note however that where you are transmitting information to us over the internet this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

For any payments which we take from you online we will use a recognised online secure payment system.

We will notify you promptly in the event of any breach of your personal data which might expose you to serious risk.

Who else has access to the information you provide us?

We will never sell your personal data.

We will not share your personal data with any third parties without your prior consent (which you are free to withhold) except where required to do so by law.

How long do we keep your information?

We will hold your personal data on our systems for as long as you are a member of the Group and for as long afterwards as it is in the Group’s legitimate interest to do so or for as long as is necessary to comply with any legal obligations.

Any retained personal data pertaining to lapsed members will be reviewed on an annual basis to establish whether we are still legally obliged to process it.  If it is determined that we are not obliged to do so, we will stop processing your personal data and it will be safely deleted from our records.
